Is the Pickett N4-T Metal or some composite? How long is the N4T? Thanks so much!
I reallly like how you take the time to explain the key presses that you do. - so many others have really fast magic fingers that make it really difficult to followwhen one is only margnally familar with the calculator
For those who dont have upper T you can use tan(90-theta) = 1/tan(theta)
Out of focus.....
can i have one
can i have one
HA - I was in secondary school when we changed over from using slide rules in maths in the early 70's to using electronic calculators. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA
Hello, would you part with the device? I've been looking for one for about a decade.
My dad always cites these things as the reason he didn't go straight into engineering out of high school in the early 70s despite having a high proficiency at it and ending up as one 10 years down the line. He got his degree after the calculators got more powerful. Now I finally understand why.
Anyone who knows what these terms you're using means won't need to watch this video.
Moved around and never saw the numbers.May be next time.
Have you ever used Curta?
jesus christ... this was a terrible awkward... stilted explanation with long hesitations and confusion on the part of the guy doing the explanation.
First lol
Thanks for the simple instructions without making it densely worded or unnecessarily long. You rule.
Fcuk me, learning how to use that is more bloody difficult than working out the actual sum🙄😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The headphones for the p27 are underpowered. Its very...very quiet. To get to a nice jam out level of music listening you nearly have to max it out. And it starts to distort near the high end. Would not recommend for headphone users at all. I contacted sony, and told them, and they want to do an rma. Really disappointing. Its my 5th radio. 2nd not made by Sangean. And both not made by sangean had to go back for one defect or another. The other was a cc pocket.
it rotates its lead or no??
No
Great video, thank you from Oslo.
Great effort; but your poor focus totally confused me. TD
It's embarassing how much I went through before I got to the very basic description that this is a Reverse-Polish Notation calculator that also has Algebraic Mode. Thanks. Now I can do some basic multiplication and addition...
My eyes hurt trying to FOCUS on this video
I find the A and B scale easier to do multiplication and division. Try it and see what you think.
But But But but
I also have one that I'm pretty happy with. It's not technically DSP, I've looked up the product sheet for the SSS16R1482 IC that it's based on and the FM decoding is all analog, the frequency synthesis is the only digital part. That's why the battery life is super long compared to DSP radios. Also, the headphone cable does seem to act as an antenna on my unit. Unfortunately it does exhibit the high volume distortion as well.
i love propelling pencils
No wonder the Chinese never saw this. They don't need it.
12,5 cm version always in the pocket of every engineer.
Maybe put a pencil to points your referencing? That would add a ton more expression in your video. I love it.
I have the same exact book and shirt as this guy
Wth??? Bro just stick to solving and avoid teaching. Good grief!
Huh?-John in Texas
Must be a surveyor with that calculator
nice, just got one cuz you cant use an calculator during exams xD
Great vid, i was using a book from the 60s and lost
I have the same device and try to understand how to divide 70 by 90 with slide rule? )
How it's better then penital graph gear 1000 🧐
Nerd!!!
Seems like doing brain surgery with a hammer and a chisel
Excellent!! Thank you. I have bought a couple of slide rules and am having a blast learning.
TY
Wait wouldn't the ICF-S10mk2 be called the ICF-S mark 2?
How to refill?
I taught myself how to use a slide rule, for basic calculations, in grade nine. This was the early 90's. We were allowed calculators, but I wanted to show off, so I did the slide rule. I've forgotten much of its use, so thank you for the refresher :)
Graduated high school in 99. My Algebra teacher was an old-head who used slide rules. He showed us how to use one. Was lost the whole time. He went on how the slide rules are antiques and the best place to store them is in the trash can and to buy a good calculator.
they used this to send men to the moon.... while millenials r complaining about wifi
we were so better before renaissance.
I like this vide
What does the AEL Setting do??
AEL stands for Automatic Exposure-Lock: you point the camera at the place you want to meter for and hit the AEL button to lock the settings in. Then, you can recompose and the camera won't try to re-read the light.
@@SuperVpower Thanks!!
